About Us

Cactus Three specializes in high-end non-fiction programming. It offers a unique blend of production and co-production expertise and fills that very important role of nurturing projects creatively as well as securing both funding and distribution. Cactus has developed a model that minimizes the financial risk of production by identifying the most appropriate partners on a global basis and tailoring each project to specific distributors, broadcast strands and end users to maximize revenue.

Cactus Three is a partnership that was founded by Julie Goldman, Caroline Stevens and Krysanne Katsoolis. For the past 10 years, we have developed an expertise in all aspects of production, co-production and acquisition, as well as theatrical, broadcast and videogram distribution. We travel to festivals, conferences and markets throughout the world and have established exclusive, long term relationships with key domestic and international producers, directors and production companies who look to us to navigate their projects from development through distribution.

Our current slate features partnerships with such notable, award winning producers and directors as: Peter Gilbert (Hoop Dreams), John Battsek (One Day in September - Academy Award winner for Best Documentary), John Landis (Blues Brothers), Steven Cantor (Devil's Playground, Blood Ties - Academy Award nominee), Michael Epstein (Hitchcock and Selznick), Susan Kaplan (Small Wonders - Academy Award Nomination for Best Documentary) and Morgan Neville (Hitmakers).
